Earlier this month, I had the privilege
of speaking at The Awakening Conference
along with some big names like Marianne
Williamson (Return to Love, The Course
in Miracles and more) and don Miguel
Ruiz (The Four Agreements).

Just this week, I
experienced a serendipitous event.
I was leaving a networking luncheon and
was lured in to a nearby grocery store I
rarely shop in with the promise of fresh
brown rice sushi. I love sushi! I
hesitated because I had just agreed to
meet someone after the meeting, but
parked the car again anyway and headed
right in.
As I approached
the deli at the back of the store, a
woman called out "Loretta!" It was a
colleague whom I'd heard was moving to
Phoenix last year but I had not heard
from.
Turns out she
had moved, had sent me a facebook
message that I somehow had missed and
was now living minutes away from me.
I was thrilled
to see her and realized that I likely
might not ever have connected with her
had it not been for that brown rice
sushi sign. Sometimes we just need
to go with the flow.

This week has
been filled with serendipity.
Yesterday, I spoke with a prospect
who found me on the internet and
created a new friendship. I invited
her to join me last night at an
incredibly fun 'girlfriend' clothing
swap party where we all 'shopped'
with discarded but wonderful
'treasurers' from each others
closets.
I ended up
having conversations with some of
the women about a business
opportunity with someone else they
knew and that woman called me
first thing this morning! We
had been scheduled to talk next
month, but her business timeline has
been escalated and she needed to
talk with me sooner. It's
really exciting!

While I'm all about
driving for results, sometimes I have to
remember to just 'go with the flow'.
When we go with the
flow and 'allow' (rather than force) life to
unfold, amazing things happen.
There are however,
some things we do that stop the upward flow
of our
careers. Make sure you're not doing
these. Or else you'll end up looking like
a...donkey.

about your boss or colleagues at work
2. Blaming other
people or circumstances for your
short-comings
3. Underestimating
your talents
4. Covering up your
mistakes
5. Reminding your
