Greetings!

Since this is my first e-zine of the year, it would be appropriate to say "HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

But doesn't it seem like New Year's Eve was light years ago?

If you missed the New Year's Resolutions video, watch it by clicking the photo of me & Rick D'Amico.

 Message From The President
There are times when I hear a faint whisper to take some action: call someone, send a card or or email or write down a great idea that just popped into my head. You know those times. We might say to ourselves, "That's a good idea."

There are times that my rational mind though says "No! I'm busy!" and the idea slips away.  Maybe it comes back, maybe not.

There are occasions when I do say "Yes" to those moments of insight. I've come to know those whisperings as magnificent gifts and have begun to trust the voice that provided them.

When I act on those gifts, generally wonderful things happen.  I connect with someone I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to reach. I start a new relationship with a client or colleague.  A door to a bright future opens.

I invite you to start listening for those whisperings.  I know you have them.  Say "Yes!" when that inspired voice speaks up.  The voice may be really faint at first, but if you listen and take action, it will become stronger and more clear.  It will guide you toward your Dream Destination, where ever that is for you. Make a commitment now to listen and ACT!

FEATURE ARTICLE – THE ROAD TO JEROME
I had the pleasure of speaking to the Sedona chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) last week. They are a great group of women and I LOVE it up there in the high desert!

Since I don't get up to that area much, I decided to take a leisurely drive back home and enjoy the sights.  I stopped by the Chapel on the Hill atop one of the areas famous vortexes.  It holds a very special place in my heart.  My husband and I dated in the early 1970's (OK, I'm dating myself, but I'm actually proud of my age), then separated and reconnected more than 30 years later in 2002.

When I came to visit Phoenix later that year to visit him, we took a day trip up to Sedona.  So there we are back in 2002 taking a break and enjoying the serenity that is characteristic of Sedona's majestic Red Rock Country.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, someone was talking about the interesting town of Jerome and I decided that I would like to visit Jerome one day also though I didn't quite know where it was.

After the NAWBO speech last week, I returned to the Chapel , stopped in the gift shop and saw a book about Jerome, purchased it and renewed my commitment to visit it someday.

As I was driving back home, just before I was about to get on the interstate, all of a sudden, I saw a sign that read "Jerome City Limits".  "Jerome City Limits?", I thought!  I suspected it was nearby but hadn't noticed it on the way up there and definitely didn't pass through it. "How did I get here?" I wondered.

Obviously I had taken a wrong turn.  But my point in telling you this rambling story is to underscore the power of intention.  My subconscious received the command to go to Jerome and while I was driving, perhaps not so consciously, my hands kept the steering wheel heading straight when I was supposed to turn east toward the highway.  I drove up this HUGE hill and when I got to town, I stopped in a art gallery.  I met a fascinating woman and saw enough of Jerome to proclaim that I would indeed return when I had more time to stroll around.

So be careful about the suggestions you give yourself.  You might just end up in there!

DESIGN YOUR YEAR - REACH YOUR GOALS

A Harvard Business School study revealed that 83% of people don't have identified goals.  It further showed that 14% have goals but don't have them written down.  Only a mere 3% of the population has goals that are written actually written down!

Which group do YOU fall in?

that same study concluded that the 3% earned more money that the 83% without goals ..by a factor of 10 times!!

Which group do you want to be in now?....

Imagine what it would be like to have a road map to support you (and your team) in accomplishing your goals.

  • Stay focused on the right things

  • Anticipate the obstacles and keep the competition at bay

  • Set your priorities

  • Reach your "Dream Destination"!
